Matcha Starter Set

Our Classic Ceremonial Matcha is the easy-going sort: clean and smooth with a gentle sweetness, a little umami depth and a mineral lift on the finish, without the grassy bitterness that puts people off matcha. It's lovely whisked with water and just as good in a latte, hot or iced.

To make a bowl, sift a 2g spoonful into the bowl, add about 30ml of water at 70 to 80°C (never boiling, it turns matcha bitter) and whisk in a quick zigzag until it's smooth and frothy. Top up with more hot water, or pour over steamed or iced milk.

In the set: bamboo matcha whisk, ceramic mixing bowl, ceramic whisk stand, stainless steel 2g matcha spoon, 100g pouch of Classic Ceremonial Matcha
Matcha: 100% matcha green tea powder, ceremonial grade, shade grown
Servings: around 50 at 2g per bowl
Storage: keep the pouch sealed in a cool, dry place and use within six weeks of opening
Care: rinse the whisk in warm water after use, no soap, and let it dry on the stand

Hand roasted and ground to order. Orders placed after 8:30 am are dispatched the next working day, and you'll receive an email as soon as yours is on its way. If anything is ever delayed, which can occasionally happen with certain artisan coffees and equipment, we'll let you know straight away and keep you updated.
