Monsoon Malabar is one of the most popular and well-known Indian single origins due to its unusual processing method and distinctive flavour. It's no surprise it's one of our best sellers.

The beans are picked, dried, then left to age in open huts against the monsoon season Indian weather. The result is a distinctive yellow coloured bean. Monsoon Malabar (Malabar, along with Mysore, is a region) is graded in size and quality, with AA grade being the highest.

Our Coffee

Our coffees are ethically sourced from green coffee buyers who are committed to excellent coffee, excellent standards and paying their farmers an excellent price. We source, roast, blend and pack the coffee ourselves, to ensure that the coffee makes as few journeys as possible once it has left the farm.

Delivery

Our coffees and teas are all packed fresh to order, as such we endeavour to dispatch your order within 48 hours from being placed (this does not account for weekends). Please note orders made after 8.30am will be processed and dispatched the next working day. You will receive a confirmation email when your order is dispatched.

There may be delays with certain speciality coffees and equipment, if this is the case then we will notify you of any issues.

UK Delivery is made by the Royal Mail tracked delivery service (see details below) and is charged by total parcel weight (product + packaging).

DPD: Next Working Day Courier (Excluding Weekends & Bank Holidays) *Service not available for customers in Northern Ireland & the Highlands

Order placed with DPD (before 8:30am) will be sent via Next Day Delivery. Please not that this does not include weekends, orders shipped on a Friday will be delivered Monday the following week.

Any orders over 2.5 Kg will be sent via DPD Courier. You will be notified if this is the case in your confirmation email. Please note that green coffee orders are restricted to a maximum of 10kg.

Click & Collect Service

For those local to York, we have free local collection points throughout the city that are delivered on a Wednesday and Friday Morning. You will be notified via email when your order is ready. Please click here for more info.

*orders placed Fri-Tues will be delivered to their Collection Point on Wednesday AM.

York Emporium Roastery (Nether Poppleton): Available to collect from the Roastery any time between 8.30am-5pm Monday-Friday, once your have received your shipping email.

York Cocoa Works: Available to collect from York Cocoa Works (during opening hours) the Wednesday or Friday after you receive your shipping email.
Cafe 42, Micklegate: Available to collect from Cafe 42 (during opening hours) the Wednesday or Friday after you receive your shipping email.
The Greengrocers, Acomb, York: Available to collect from The Greengrocers, Acomb (during opening hours) the Friday after you receive your shipping email. Not open Wednesdays.

You will have one (1) week to collect your order from your chosen location. Orders will be returned to the roastery for collection after this period of time.
