Our pods are designed to be compatible with Nespresso® Original machines*, the classic style that uses small, capsule-shaped pods. They are not suitable for Nespresso Vertuo machines, which use a different, larger pod shape and barcode system.
If you’re unsure which machine you have, check the model name on the front or base of your machine – if it’s from the Original range (e.g. Pixie, Citiz, Essenza, Inissia, Lattissima), you’re good to go.

In short: more like freshly roasted coffee, less like “generic pod flavour”. Because we’re an independent roaster, we start with the same kind of quality beans we use for our House, Single Origin and Speciality coffees, then develop pod recipes that focus on sweetness, balance and character.
Expect flavour profiles closer to our chocolatey blends (like The Terrence and The Dame) than to the slightly flat, bitter taste you might know from mass-produced pods. If you enjoy café-style espresso and milk drinks but want the convenience of pods, this is a very easy upgrade.

If you enjoy strong, chocolatey, café-style coffee, look for pods with tasting notes like chocolate, cocoa, nuts or caramel, and a medium-to-high intensity rating. These will:
Give you a rich, full-bodied espresso
Cut through milk nicely in flat whites, lattes and cappuccinos
Feel closer to the flavour of a good espresso bar than a basic supermarket pod
If you prefer a smoother, gentler cup, choose pods with lower intensity and tasting notes that mention caramel, biscuit, or gentle fruit rather than “dark” or “intense”.

Yes – our Nespresso-compatible pods are designed to work for both short and long drinks. For best results:
For a classic espresso, use the standard short button on your machine (usually around 25–30ml).
For a lungo or Americano, you can either use the lungo button (around 80–110ml) or pull a short espresso and top up with hot water from your kettle.
If you like milk-based drinks, we recommend starting with a short espresso from a chocolatey, medium–high intensity pod, then adding steamed or frothed milk – this keeps the coffee flavour present and satisfying.

We take sustainability seriously and aim to make our pods as environmentally responsible as possible, while still working reliably in your machine.
Depending on the specific pod type you’ve chosen, they may be:
Aluminium pods – widely recyclable through metal recycling streams once emptied and rinsed.
Compostable or biodegradable pods – designed to break down under the right conditions.
Check the packaging or product description for the exact type and disposal instructions. Whichever option you choose, using higher-quality pods that you genuinely enjoy can also mean less waste overall, because you’re not constantly chasing a better cup.
