Our second Colombian Microlot from the fantastic Green Collection this Autumn is the Colombia La Miranda. This sharp coffee is a contrast to our sweet & smooth Colombian microlot the Las Pulgas Microlot. This Coffee a brilliant example of how much the flavour of coffee can vary significantly from farm to farm within the same region.
The Coffee
This Washed & Sun-dried Colombian coffee contains a sharp hit of bright Grapefruit acidity and a delicate residual Hazelnut finish. A lingering note of Black Tea follows once the bright acidity begins to fade. This coffee is best served black through filter to really appreciate its complex flavours.
The Farm
Finca La Miranda, is located in Planadas, Tolima, one of the most remote growing regions of Colombia, renowned for the production of its High-Altitude sustainably grown coffees.
The farm, owned and ran by Edward Andres Portela, is located 2080-2100 m.a.s.l. Edward opts for 30-36 hour double fermentation processing method and then the coffee is washed and sun dried to develop the bright fruity flavours.

Our coffees are ethically sourced from green coffee buyers who are committed to excellent coffee, excellent standards and paying their farmers an excellent price. We source, roast, blend and pack the coffee ourselves, to ensure that the coffee makes as few journeys as possible once it has left the farm.
