Nicaraguan coffees are not the traditional shining stars of Central American coffees compared to the likes of Costa Rica and Honduras. Coffees from this regions are generally washed, resulting in mild flavour profiles with subtle acidity which makes for an easy drinking coffee.
Our latest washed Nicaraguan coffee is a good example of the mild but balanced coffees produced by Nicaraguan farmers. This coffee has a sweet notes of caramel and milk chocolate with a distinct Orange acidity. Being a York based Roaster we are partial to a Chocolate Orange, so to be able to have one of our fave treats in coffee form is a delight!
