CoopeTarrazú is surrounded by green mountains where coffee plantations extend in a high-altitude region that give special characteristics to the bean. The coop is the main coffee mill of Los Santos Region and Costa Rica, receiving annually around 200, 000 (69kg) bags. In the Los Santos Region, where all the coffee comes from, 28,000 hectares are dedicated to this crop, which means 40% of Costa Rica’s national coffee production.
